What is Latin Sparks Festival?

Latin Sparks Festival is a 4-day event that brings the fire and flavour of Latin America to Canada. The annual festival features live performances, a variety of dance classes, a boat cruise, authentic Latin street food and a giant outdoor block party.

Dance Bootcamp - Sat, August 17th from 12PM to 4PM at Steps Dance Studio (819 Yonge St). Take up to 4 dance classes with international and local artists in various dance genres. Learn more here or click here to buy tickets. 

Hangover Brunch - Sun, August 18th from 12PM to 4PM at Trinity Bellwoods Park. Food vendors, music and chill vibes. Free entrance. Learn more here.

Is there an age limit?

The only event with an age limit is the Boat Cruise (19+). The Salsa & Bachata Night, Main Event Block Party, Dance Bootcamp and the Hangover Brunch are for all ages.

Where does the festival take place?

Each event during Latin Sparks Festival in Toronto will occur at different venues. However, all of the events are located in downtown Toronto and are accessible by public transit or private vehicles. See locations here.

What should I wear?

There is no dress code. Just be you and be comfortable. Please note that the Main Event: Block Party is outdoors and the ground is asphalt. The Hangover Brunch is also outdoors on the grass.

Do I need to know how to dance?

Do you like music? Have you ever wiggled? Tapped your foot?  A “yes” in any case means you’ll do just fine at Latin Sparks.

What kind of food will be at the Main Event: Block Party?

Tacos, paella nachos, paletas, quesadillas....need we say more!? 

Will there be any vegan/ vegetarian food options?

Yes! You’ll still get to enjoy a variety of delicious vegan/ vegetarian meals from some of our food vendors.

What kind of drinks will be at the Main Event: Block Party?

Beer, standard bar rail, sangria and signature Tromba Tequila cocktails.

What does a Full Festival Pass Include?

Can I buy tickets to individual events?

Yes. You can buy tickets to any of the individual events here.

Are door tickets available for the Main Event Block Party?

A limited number of tickets are available at the door, so we recommend buying tickets in advance online. Tickets sold at the door are cash only. Festival Passes, Group Bundles, Dance Bootcamp, Boat Cruise, and VIP Packages are exclusively sold online. 

Are there are any free events?

Yes, the Hangover Brunch on Sunday, August 18TH is a free event.

Can I get Bottle Service at the Main Event Block Party?

Directions & Parking

Where is the Main Event Block Party on Sat, August 17TH? How do I get there? 

The Main Event is located at 222 Cherry Street. Click here to plan your route.

Where can I park for the Main Event Block Party?

There is paid parking on either side of the event venue along Cherry Street. You can check out the parking areas and drop off area on these maps.

Does the bridge closure have any impact on accessing the event?

The Cherry bridge is not yet accessible. Google maps does consider this when designing its route. If coming from the West, we recommend crossing the Down Valley River via Bloor/Danforth or the Gardiner. Click here to plan your route.


Which events are wheelchair accessible?

All of the events are accessible by wheelchair. However, please note that the bathrooms on the Boat Cruise are not accessible.

What are the washroom facilities like?

Events occuring indoors will have accessible washroom facilities. The Boat Cruise washrooms are not accessible. Outdoor events will have portable washrooms and designated facilities for persons with limited mobility. 

Will security search me and my belongings before I enter the Main Event: Block Party?

Yes. Please try to only bring necessary items ( ID, prescription medicine, wallet, etc). No weapons, outside food or drink or large devices will be permitted.
