Giovanni Torres (DJ Gio) was born and raised in Medellin, Colombia. Salsa music and his love of dance led him to pursue a career in DJing. In addition to being an international DJ, Giovanni is also a dance maestro and the founder of Los Salsomanos” -Toronto based dance group. Dj Gio has an impressive profile having performed at Salsa Congresses and Festivals across Canada, the United States, Europe and Colombia.
International DJ and Salsa Aficionado, DJ Alberth Moreno found his passion in music as a young child living in Bogota, Colombia. Since launching his global career as a Latin DJ in Miami, Florida, he has travelled across North America DJing at packed concerts and events. He has also done exclusive presentations with mega Latin Stars such as Marc Anthony, Maluma and Gente de Zona... just to name a few.

Kitty is a Peruvian Canadian based in Toronto. She’s a powerhouse and dances various styles including Reggaeton, Salsa and hHeels. Katty will be teaching the intro to Reggaeton dance class at the Block Party.
Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Allix has been dancing since she was 4 years old. Now living in New York City, she dances an array of styles including lyrical, contemporary, dancehall, ballet, heels, salsa and bachata.
Based in New York, Nick is a 2X world champion at the Miami Salsa World Summit and currently dances with La Fuerza. He’ll be teaching Bachata at the Dance Bootcamp and performing in the headline Bachata fusion performance at the Block Party.
Araguacu is a native Taino word that translates into "the sacred people”. Araguacu Latin Dance Company is a fusion of diverse cultures and talents, that was founded in 2013, by Toronto based directors, Geo and Kim. Araguacu specializes in teaching Bachata, and Mambo/Salsa On2. Their high energy classes and performances have quickly made them one of the most sought after dance teams across Canada.
Sarita Leyva is a renowned contemporary folkloric and popular dancer, educator, and choreographer. She began her dance career at the age of 7 in Holguín, Cuba. Today, Sarita is the Artistic Director of Iré Omó Afro-Cuban Drum and Dance Ensemble and School First Dancer of Iyá Iré Afro-Cuban Ensemble. Sarita is also a faculty member of the School of The Arts, Media & Design at York University.
Sahab Habibi is a phenomenal drummer that began playing music as a child. Over the years he has continued to entertain thousands of audiences at festivals and events all across North America. There is no limit for Sahab and his talent, his style and talents are constantly changing and advancing. Simply put- his horizons are forever broadening.
The Fuerza Dance Company is a New York dance company, directed by the multi-talented dancer, instructor and choreographer Fausto Felix. The Fuerza Kingsmen travel around the world to perform Salsa and Bachata at festivals, competitions and major events.
Marta Elena, is a multi-talented band leader, singer, composer, and percussionist, who proudly honours her Cuban heritage and Afro-Latin roots. She delivers an intoxicating mix of vocals and danceable rhythms in each song. Marta Elena is currently recording a CD, "From Havana to Toronto" with support from the Toronto and Ontario Arts Councils.
Sofia was born in Colombia, Bogotá but moved to Canada at a young age. She currently choreographs and performs for Tropicana Queens Entertainment Company and assists with the international company. She is passionate about teaching couples dances, Ladies Styling and providing her students with the fundamentals of Latin dance, which is confidence and sensuality.
Laure was born in Jamaica but moved to Toronto when she was 13. Lauren is a highly skilled dancer, choreographer and instructor with extensive training in various dance genres including: jazz, ballet, ballroom and latin dance. She holds a teacher’s certificate from the Candian Dancesport Federation and graduated from George Brown College with Honours after completing 17-dance programs.
